DSEAR risk assessments for workshops and garages
Vehicle workshops combine several flammable hazards in one building: fuel, paint, brake cleaner, welding gases and waste oil. They are usually small, busy and full of ignition sources, which is why the zoning and housekeeping matter.

Before you ask for a quote
Does my garage need a DSEAR assessment?
If you store or use flammable liquids, gases or aerosols, yes. Most garages do. Petrol, paint, solvents and welding gases all count.
Is welding near flammable stock a DSEAR issue?
Hot work is an ignition source, so we consider it wherever it happens near a place where an explosive atmosphere could form. The assessment sets out where it should and should not take place.
